Providing Service in a Stylish Way

The dealership Hahn in Münchberg nearby Munich, Germany, is specialized in the restoration of classic cars. The most repairs are done in-house. The dealership provides all forms of repairs no matter if they are concerned with the carriage or the engine.

A very specific utility vehicle is used for transporting the spare parts: A L 319, year 1959. The restorer Benjamin Benavides says: “We got to the vehicle by chance. We have bought it three years ago from a customer and we want to attract a bit of attention with this classic car. It has already become an icon and besides it is also a rarity.” Though it is not possible to rent the van, the car dealership shows it every once in a while at several classic car meetings. The aged L 319 still provides a valuable service as utility vehicle.

The previous owner has already restored the van completely and realized a few repairs at the carriage. The car dealership Hahn had to accomplish the final assembly after the painting and an overhaul of the engine.

“It is still a reliable vehicle and we use it also for long distances. Our customers are often surprised that this elderly drudge is still in action”, reckons Benjamin Benavides. Breakdowns are usually not on the daily agenda. “Only the fuel gauge failed once”, mentioned Benjamin with a smile.

The elderly L 319 has already experienced a lot in its life. But even a half century after Germany’s Wirtschaftswunder the L 319 is still reliable and antsy on the road.
