Bank managers and CEOs are out on business very often and have not much time. But not all of them travel in Learjets or big limos as people often assume. In the United States the generous space of the Sprinter has become very popular and gains more and more popularity. The interior has little in common with a classic van.

The noble vans are equipped by the company Becker Automotive in Oxnard, California. The vans are considered to be the Maybachs among the shuttle busses. A JetVan® costs between 225.000 and 500.000 US dollar. The title “JetVan“ refers to the comfort of a private jet. “Our customers make no difference if they travel on the road or if they fly”, comments CEO Howard Becker. “The car should be as similar as possible to their Learjets.”

Becker buys numerous components from several aircraft suppliers. The VIP seats are adjustable in seven levels and have an electric footrest that is also adjustable. Excellent leather, wool carpets and veneered wood look like the first class of many airlines. Electric blinds and LED illumination create a futuristic ambience. If it is requested Becker also installs partition walls that allow some privacy for the mainly working passengers.

The electronic equipment like communication, data processing and entertainment is managed via touch screen. The control panel derives from a supplier of the arms industry and costs as much as a compact car. The 4G connectivity supplies broadband internet access and also video streaming on a 40 inch LCD screen. The surround-sound-system provides a sound like a high-end home cinema.

The van can transport up to nine passengers. Several tasks can be managed via one single monitor: the intercommunication system can be activated, video conferences can be held and also film or music titles can be chosen via the monitor. “A lot of customers step in the luxurious Sprinter and their big limos have to stay in the garage”, says Becker. Thus, the Sprinter doesn’t fear the comparison with a Maybach, nor in comfort or price neither in the lot sizes. The luxurious outfitter delivers one van per month.

Even celebs are keen on the comfortable vans: pop star Beyoncé brought her newborn daughter Ivy Blue back home with this extravagant Sprinter.
