The new city delivery van from Mercedes-Benz not only offers plenty of space, but also BlueEFFICIENCY technology makes the Citan the most economical vehicle in its class. Its compact size makes it the ideal solution for urban areas.

To ensure quality and safety Mercedes-Benz engineers have put the new Citan through its paces for three years. On snow and ice, the developers tested adaptive ESP and other safety systems. In extreme heat and inclines the experts examined the engine cooling. The aerodynamics were optimized in the wind tunnel. And that’s just a small part of the test program.

For different requirements, there are three models. The basis is the panel van and available in three lengths: Compact, Long and Extra Long. In addition there is a Mixto, based on the extra-long variant with five seats and the Crewbus. This is based on the long version. In addition, the customer can choose from three turbo-diesels with direct-injection, and this is complemented by a turbo-charged petrol engine.

The first Citan has already been delivered. For some weeks it has been in trial operation.
