MY JOB MY VAN: the ZAGRO Road-rail Sprinter for Strukton

Reliable at 2,500 degrees. With Thermit and steel craftsmanship Strukton Rail’s road-rail Sprinter keeps the train service running.

Railway safety is a top priority for the Dutch company Strukton Rail

Even the smallest cracks and uneven surfaces have to be repaired immediately. The workers need a very special vehicle to reach every part of the sprawling railway network: the multimodal Sprinter from ZAGRO. This Sprinter can be effortlessly converted into a railway vehicle using an intuitive display in the cockpit. Ruud Vertooren and his colleagues repair the damages using a controlled thermite melting process at 2,500°. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has space for all of the heavy grinders and gas bottles needed to carry out the work perfectly and safely. The equipment is securely stowed in shelves and compartments, ensuring that the Sprinter provides safe and comfortable handling on both the road and on rail.
