Sooner or later every truck has to visit the work shop. Due to the Mercedes-Benz truck maintenance management the service can be planned and the retention period reduced.

Time saves money

That’s how the truck maintenance management functions: The telematics service FleetBoard provides all information concerning maintenance and abrasion to the service partners. The service partners plan the next scope of the service as exactly as possible to reduce the retention periods. They also organize an optimum use of the fleet. No matter if smaller companies or big fleet operators: the logistic enterprises save a lot of money with the truck management. Even though abrasions can be calculated, breakdowns usually cannot. But also the breakdown service became faster throughout Europe thanks to remote diagnostics. Torsten Bürger, Head of Product Management, explains us at the IAA how this system works exactly.
