An eye-catching camper van

Hartmann-Tuning transforms conventional Mercedes-Benz vans into something that even tuning fans love.

Sporty-looking camper vans?

School holidays. The heat shimmers above the asphalt. On most of the highways heading south, the traffic is crawling along at barely walking speed. The air conditioning is running at maximum. The trunks are stuffed full of holiday luggage. The back seats are crowded with three complaining children. And parents who hear the same question over and over again: "Are we nearly there yet?" At this moment at the latest, those who once refused to buy a typical family car start to think about buying a larger vehicle.

There is good news for everyone who would otherwise have to choose between practicality and an attractive vehicle. The German company Hartmann-Tuning has succeeded in merging sportiness with functionality: with the VANSPORTSCAMPER. Using a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or Vito as the platform, the specialists create a vehicle designed for any situation. Whether you are driving away on a camping holiday with the family or to a business meeting in the city. The VANSPORTSCAMPER has the attractive appearance of a sophisticated sedan combined with the equipment needed for any camping trip.

From a transporter to a camper van

The interior fittings feature everything the VANSPORTSCAMPER needs for a camping holiday. The conversion consists of three furniture modules which can be fitted quickly and easily. The sophisticated design and the aluminum lightweight construction are the key. The VANSPORTSCAMPER remains universally usable because it retains the advantages of a van, when needed. The camping body is secured in place with an aluminum system floor. The swiveling front passenger seat is also available as an optional extra. In combination with the large fitted table and the rear seat bench, there is plenty of space for a family of five to eat. The food itself is prepared on the integrated spirit stove. When the weather permits, the kitchen can be moved outside in only a matter of moments.

The 18 liter compressor cool box keeps the drinks cold and the vehicle also features an integrated sink for washing up the dishes. In addition, the vehicle is also equipped with two water tanks for fresh water and wastewater, each with a capacity of 12 liters. The 1.40 x 2 meter folding bed is spacious enough for two adults. With a Mercedes-Benz Vito as the base vehicle a lifting roof can even be fitted, creating additional sleeping space thanks to the roof bed. In summary, the flexible design of the individual elements is the body’s greatest advantage. This also makes the vehicle ideal for day-to-day use such as for shopping or work.

Hartmann-Tuning represents extensive experience

Today, the Hartmann-Tuning team is renowned for its sporty van conversions. It all began 60 years ago with a service workshop for Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles. The workshop located in the historical town of Holzheim near Düsseldorf is now regarded as one of the largest in North Rhine-Westphalia. The first tuning series for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was released in 2003. The underlying idea: vehicles are often used both privately and professionally. Visually enhancing the vehicles makes them suitable for every occasion. In the morning on the construction site and in the evening at an elegant restaurant. The idea is a success. “Our customers come from every level of society. From dentists to tradesmen”, says Thorsten Hartmann happily.
